Dokolo, Uganda: A popular Catholic Father identified as Rev. Father Alfred Okello Junior has caused a lot of political fervor as he gains momentum politically in the Dokolo North constituency MP race for the 2026 general elections. Addressing the press from Lira City at Kanbera Hotel on Friday evening, Father Alfred Okello Junior has clearly stated his intention to contest as an MP of the Dokolo North constituency under the NRM party ticket.

He said Dokolo district has many loopholes, and his main focus will be based on humanity and a bottom-up approach to solve community problems. First on his agenda is to liaise with the government to address the issues facing residents surrounding the Kachung National Water and Sewerage Corporation so that it also benefits the local population in the area. According to him, the people surrounding the location of Kachung in Agwata Town Council lack many services that they could have benefited from long ago if some of the current leaders were in touch with them.

Through his own initiative, Father Alfred Okello Junior has repaired seven different boreholes in the Kachung area alone, located in Agwata Town Council, in Dokolo district. He has repaired a total of 68 boreholes in Dokolo North County to allow his people to have access to clean water.
