Ugandans should now put stickers bearing Mzee Kaguta and CDF Muhoozi’s photos on their cars as a sign of applause for a job well done

The current investigations into corruption involving the former Speaker of Parliament, Anita Annet Among, are something that no one could believe would happen to the tough and arrogant former Speaker of Parliament to MPs and other civilians.

But just in the blink of an eye, things have gone badly for the former Speaker. I am not celebrating whatever is happening to her, but this is a lesson to anyone occupying any public office that arrogance has disadvantages.

My sister failed to control her tongue and emotions while handling public issues.

I remember when my sister said, “This seat was given to me by God, and I will serve until I get tired.” Really, is that what one can say? I noticed that my sister would not end well.

I also remember during the campaigns when my sister made a statement telling the President, “Your Excellency, for us in Teso and Karamoja, we shall not give you a protest vote. We have peace, we have developed, and we don’t need anything from you.” That statement was not right. I knew that was the end of my sister because by saying that, it implies that Teso and Karamoja should not vote for President Museveni since he has solved all problems in those regions, yet you know very well that even the President himself knows there are still issues to be addressed in Teso, Karamoja, Acholi, Lango, West Nile, and Busoga. I wondered whether you were indirectly campaigning against our Mzee.

Anyway, my advice to you is that in case Mzee pardons you, learn how to behave, know the people you work with, accept corrections and advice. Look at the current situation you are in; even those MPs you funded to win against the will of the people are not with you anymore. They used to have your photo in their profile pictures on their phones—now, since you can access your phone, check: are those MPs still using your photos?

Anyway, sorry for what has happened. I would like to ask Ugandans owning vehicles to start putting stickers on their cars bearing the two supreme leaders: Mzee Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and our much-loved General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, as a sign of appreciation for a job well done. It was not easy to bring down that angel who could fly and have breakfast with the Pope.

This operation has shown ordinary Ugandans that this country is ruled by the National Resistance Movement. Thank you, Mzee Kaguta. Thank you, Afande Muhoozi. Thank you, police for the work—please continue more operations to clean our beloved country.
