Sad news has emerged from Dubai, where Rajab Kaguli, a Ugandan national, has passed away after weeks of treatment at Cleveland Hospital.
According to information gathered, Kaguli had been admitted last month after suffering complications related to constipation. Doctors later identified issues with his appendix and intestines, which led to five separate operations in an attempt to restore his health.
Unfortunately, despite the intensive medical care, Kaguli slipped into a coma and passed away earlier this week.
Doctors at the hospital had linked his condition partly to depression, which they said may have worsened his health challenges. The multiple surgeries carried out were intended to unblock his appendix and manage intestinal complications, but his body could not recover.
It is not yet clear whether his remains will be repatriated to Uganda for burial or laid to rest in Dubai. Sources indicate that his religion could influence burial arrangements, with the possibility of him being buried in Dubai if returning the body proves difficult.
News of Kaguli’s death has shocked friends and Ugandan communities abroad, many of whom had hoped for his recovery. His passing highlights the emotional and health struggles faced by many Ugandans living and working in foreign countries.
