Gen. Muhoozi is a nice man to many people, but he will quickly distance himself from you once he discovers that you are corrupt

If there is any person who truly thinks about and cares for the welfare of Ugandans, it is Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defence Forces.

He is very generous to many people, but if a report reaches him with evidence that you embezzled public funds, that could mark the end of your relationship with him.

Gen. Muhoozi is not like Mzee Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who often cautions people accused of embezzlement.

I remember when President Museveni allocated about Shs9 billion to a prominent politician in Buganda to support youth groups in the region. Unfortunately, the money never reached the youth. Instead, the female politician allegedly diverted the funds to her personal projects, including constructing apartments along Entebbe Road.

That politician is still serving up to now, and what Mzee did was only to caution her. If it had been Gen. Muhoozi, I believe that woman would have been forced to pay back the money.
Gen. Muhoozi is a very nice and jolly man who loves jokes, and he treats people warmly as long as they do not have a history of corruption.

I am therefore not surprised by reports that he may not support the current Speaker, Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among, for a second term. He could have quietly gathered evidence without anyone noticing, because that is how he operates.

Gen. Muhoozi can keep quiet, laugh with you, buy you food and drinks, all while studying your character. But in the end, if he discovers wrongdoing, he can quickly distance himself from you and even order your arrest.

To many supporters, he is seen as a leader who can save Uganda from individuals accused of looting public resources. Some believe that corrupt officials have taken advantage of President Museveni’s forgiving nature, but they say things could be different under Gen. Muhoozi’s leadership.

Many Ugandans are hopeful that after President Museveni’s term in office, Gen. Muhoozi could provide leadership that brings accountability and stronger action against corruption.
